Sandra Pérez Tapia nacida en Puebla México, emigró a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 15 años. Es artista, muralista autodidacta, maestra de arte, fundadora de East Harlem Gallery, fundadora de Chamana Productions donde hizo su primer cortometraje Llorona. Sandra es también propietaria de la franquicia Atax East Harlem, donde provee servicios de impuestos y desarrollo de negocios entre otros servicios. Sandra siempre a apoyado a su comunidad Se convirtio en líder a los 19 años, apoyando a su comunidad como también organizando grandes festivales como el Cinco de Mayo, el Día de la Independencia de México y el Día de los Muertos en East 116th Street, como también la producción de la primera ofrenda en Rockefeller Center.
A dejado su huella en la ciudad especialmente East Harlem, como también lugares iconicos como el parque más grande de la nación Hall of Science siendo una de las primeras latinas en la historia que a hecho murales en lugar tan histórico. Sandra Pérez Tapia es destacada por ayudar a madres solteras y por su fortaleza como mujer.
Sandra Pérez Tapia, born in Puebla Mexico, emigrated to the United States at the age of 15. She is an artist, self-taught muralist, art teacher, founder of East Harlem Gallery, founder of Chamana Productions where she made her first short film Llorona. Sandra is also the owner of the Atax East Harlem franchise, where she provides tax and business development services among other services. Sandra has always supported her community. She became a leader at the age of 19, supporting her community as well as organizing large festivals such as Cinco de Mayo, Mexican Independence Day and the Day of the Dead on East 116th Street, such as also the production of the first offering at Rockefeller Center.
She has left her mark on the city, especially East Harlem, as well as iconic places such as the largest park in the nation, Hall of Science, being one of the first Latinas in history to create murals in such a historic place. Sandra Pérez Tapia is known for helping single mothers and for her strength as a woman.
